AS THINGS FLOW IN, THEY MUST ALSO FLOW OUT. In our lives, there needs to be an outpouring to match the incoming.
Think about any hoarders whom you might know. Why are their houses such disasters? Because they take everything in, and let nothing or very little of it go.
Now think of your own life in terms of success and/or happiness. Does your life seem stagnant right now? Have you taken in as many blessings as you can, only to give nothing back in return?
Don’t feel as though you have nothing to give, we all have things to contribute, no matter how small they may seem at the time. Remember, that one person’s trash could be an unbelievable treasure to someone else. Find something, someone or some place to contribute to.
So as Christmas approaches, try not to think of this season in terms of what you might receive, but consider instead just how much you can give.

How timely is this?
“Preach always. If necessary use words.” – St. Francis of Assisi
Seems appropriate for today and this Easter season – living out a good and fruitful life. Not talking about it but living it out. What did you model today? What will you model tomorrow?
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” – Galatians 5:22-23
Fruit indeed.
There are so many paths in life to choose from – how can we be assured that we are on the right one? That is a very good and often a very difficult question for many of us to answer. The right path should challenge you to grow, allow you to think, invite you to participate, and give you a sense of peace on your journey. It may not be an easy path, it may not be a comfortable path, but it should feel inexplicably like your path. You should not be on that path for any other person’s sake. You should be on it because that is where you feel you fully belong. Your path should feel like a journey, not an unwanted burden. That is not saying that your path will not contain any hard work, or any bumps and bruises along the way. But your path should not be one of continual self sacrifice without any kind of reward or growth opportunity. I am not suggesting that you should seek an easy road, because choosing a path for pure leisure will just bog you down and in the end you will realize just how foolish you’ve been. The purpose of seeking the right path is to allow the gifts that were placed inside of you a chance to grow into fruition to benefit not only your life, but the lives of others on the paths around you. Give, share, learn, grow and cultivate your spirit – but do it all on the path you were destined to take.
Very nice post about gratitude. We should all cultivate this philosophy, even when at times, it seems an effort.

I dropped in to visit with a friend yesterday morning. Upon my arrival, she exclaimed “Oh, thank God you are here. You are my savior.” We both joked about her flattery of me and how lucky we are to call each other friend…” But tonight it hits me just how dangerous that statement and mind set can be. We are never another person’s savior. Nor is anyone else ever to play that role for us. Each person who comes into our lives is one link in a chain of events that accompanies our progress and helps to illuminate or desecrate the path on which we travel. Our attention should never be exclusively on those people who surround us. Our guiding focal point should always be inside. Why do we care so much what others may or may not think of us? I’ll tell you the truth, other human beings do not consider us or our needs as much as we like to think they do. We are all so self absorbed, as well we should be. For if we haven’t figured out who we are and what we are doing here, how can we be of any use to any one or any thing around us? It is an impossibility. Each of us is just one link. If we were to strengthen ourselves, the chain to which we belong would become that much stronger and the whole of humanity would be a better species indeed. When we truly honor ourselves, it increases our strength, elasticity, and vitality. It helps all of us move forward to a more enriched environment and a higher level of living. We shouldn’t be trying to be anyone’s savior, we should just be working on making ourselves a stronger link. That way the chain is beneficial to us all.
